Silentis Interceptor UAS: a drone interceptor matched to the Umbra launcher
The Silentis Interceptor UAS is our own interceptor drone for C-UAS: a counter drone interceptor with a bullet-shaped airframe and four electric motors, launched vertically from the Umbra Counter-UAS launcher to fly a kinetic intercept onto the track. The Silentis Interceptor UAS is ours, matched to the launcher and already flying.
What it is
Airframe, guidance and payload bay
Bullet-shaped airframe
A rocket-shaped body on four electric motors, built for a fast climb and a fast terminal run. It launches vertically from Umbra Counter-UAS, on a stand or from a tube, or from the single-cell Umbra Launch Tube.
Operator-in-the-loop guidance
The operator flies the interceptor onto the target. Autonomous terminal lock-on, day and thermal, holds the target through the final approach.
Jam-resistant datalink
A jam-resistant datalink carries control and video. Terminal guidance is GNSS-independent, so the last seconds of the intercept hold when satellite navigation is jammed or spoofed.
Mission payload bay
The customer chooses the payload and integrates it. The mission payload bay takes a customer-integrated payload sized to the interceptor's payload class.
Single-use
Expendable and attritable: one interceptor per engagement, bought in numbers to give the launcher a deep magazine.
Matched to Umbra
The Umbra Counter-UAS launcher fires it on a cue from your sensors or air-defence C2, or comes configured for your own interceptor.
