Single-cell launcher
A single launch cell, sized to your effector
The Umbra Launch Tube is the single-cell launcher of the Umbra range — one tube that stores, carries and launches one effector, sized to the loitering munition or counter-UAS interceptor you already fly. It serves Counter-UAS and Strike alike, and it is the entry point to the range.
The problem
Most launch tubes come with one maker's round
Tube-launched munitions and interceptors usually ship in a canister built for that round alone, sold with it and fired from its maker's own launcher. Change the effector and you change the launcher too.
The Umbra Launch Tube separates the two: the tube is sized to your round, and the round stays yours to choose.
What the Umbra Launch Tube delivers
One cell, open to your effector
Sized per effector
Bore, length and retention are sized to the round you fly — a counter-UAS interceptor or a loitering munition. Each tube is configured for the effector you name.
Store, carry and launch from one tube
The effector is stored, transported and launched from the same tube. The tube stays; reloading in the field means loading the next effector, with no re-rigging of the launcher.
Loaded by the integrator
Your effector arrives fully assembled and is loaded into the tube by the integrator.
Bracket or host mount
Fixed to an adapter bracket on your own mount, and fired by an Umbra node or the launch system you already run.
Both mission lines
One tube for Counter-UAS and Strike
Counter-UAS
A tube sized to your drone interceptor, or to our Silentis Interceptor UAS, for distributed point and area defence at low unit cost — cells emplaced densely around a site and cued by the air-defence C2 you already run. See Umbra Counter-UAS.
Strike
A tube sized to your loitering munition, or to our Silentis LR Strike UAS, whose wings pop out after launch. See Umbra Strike.
Start with one cell, step up to a magazine
Begin with a single tube, and move to Umbra Counter-UAS or Umbra Strike when you need a multi-cell magazine. Navigation, safe-launch and cue-in stay in the Umbra core — see the technology.
Scope
What the launch tube is, and what it is not
- It is a bare, inert launch tube, sized to the effector you name.
- It is not a munition. The tube carries no energetics; the effector goes in separately — your own, or a Silentis drone.
- It is not firing or safe-launch electronics. Launch control comes from an Umbra node or the launch system you already run.
- It is not qualified with a live round. Qualification of the effector stays with the munition's own programme, and no certification is held today.
